I wrote a breakdown of every adjustment both teams need to make in Game 2 tonight — the Knicks have the blueprint, the Cavs have more answers than people are giving them credit for

Game 1 told us a lot. Ghost coverage on Hart nearly worked. Brunson is unguardable when he has space. Shamut changed everything the second he checked in. And Cleveland's offensive process in the first three quarters was genuinely excellent — they just stopped doing it when it mattered most.

Broke down three adjustments for each side, what the film shows, and why this series is nowhere near over.

Happy to discuss any of it in the comments — especially the Shamut minutes debate and whether Brown starts him or keeps Hart in the opening lineup tonight.

Team of destiny???

I never jump out the window because the knicks have disappointed me my entire life but this team is special. You can just envision espn making a 30 for 30 on this team and the drought and everything in between. They just keep stacking up so many 30 for 30 moments. Imagine in the 30 for 30 they flash back to the ewing and starks and all them losing in the finals then flash back to present them celebrating the championship on the court with the current squad.

Also i know i sound like a homer but brunson has the biggest main character energy out of any nba player since lebron in 2016. His story is so good everyone doubted him. He’s like a damn main character in those anime’s where it’s a dude who defies odds.

Praying it happens this year and then i can be happy for the rest of my life. Just need 1.

This might be the year for the Knicks.

I watched all three games against the Spurs and the Knicks had the advantage; their versatile offense troubled the Spurs' defense.

Just to be clear about what happened yesterday.

We won the rebound battle we destroyed them in the points in the paint. We had less turnovers less fouls more free throws. The only reason this game was even close was because we were as cold as ice from 3 until half way through the 4th and overtime. The cavs scored 104 points in 4 quarters and an overtime. Cavs fans seems to believe that they can replicate this kind of performance but the truth about what happened last night is that we were just cold and I doubt we have as poor of a shooting game as we did last night I mean the boys were throwing up cinderblocks yesterday it won’t happen again.

We need to give a little love to Bridges

Mikal had two huge threes at the end and bopped the ball away from Strus. We didn’t score on that possession, but it shaved precious minutes off the clock. Scored 18 points in total.

The definition of against all odds

We were sitting at 0.5% win probability late in the 4th and somehow pulled this off, one of the craziest momentum swings I’ve seen in a playoff game.
