This was eventually avenged by Barry Ferguson's Rangers side

A premonition

Partick thistle will absolutely pump st mirren today. This came to me in a vision. Also Jens Berthal Askou will go to Tolouse.

After that I cannot say.

All of my previous premonitions have been accurate. Check post history for evidence.

Hearts Club Statement

https://www.heartsfc.co.uk/blogs/news/club-statement-1

Heart of Midlothian Football Club would once again like to thank our incredible supporters for their magnificent backing throughout this season, and to provide an update in relation to the events which unfolded at Celtic Park on Saturday.

As previously noted, the Club is investigating events before, during and after the match, and will offer Police Scotland our full support as they continue with their enquiries.

We have also written to the SFA and SPFL setting out our observations and questions regarding the circumstances surrounding the premature ending of the match, and expressing our concern that a troubling precedent has been set whereby a pitch invasion can effectively determine the duration of a football match, rather than the match officials. We have asked them for a prompt response to the points we have raised.

The incursion of spectators onto the field of play must never be condoned under any circumstances, and the seriousness of the potential consequences must be fully understood by supporters and clubs alike.

We are aware of highly irresponsible comments made publicly this week, which appear to seek to defend those who entered the pitch on Saturday and undermine the gravity of the situation. Those remarks carry dangerous implications, and we call upon the football authorities to ensure that this matter is addressed with the seriousness it demands, and with the full cooperation of all involved.

This has been an excellent season for Heart of Midlothian. However, it represents only the very beginning of our plans for long-term sustained success. We look ahead to next season with confidence, supported as ever by the exceptional backing of our fans, sponsors and partners

Question for Celtic and Rangers fans

Would you like every season to be like this with Hearts challenging and potentially other teams, making it harder to win the league but with the league being more exciting? Or do you want it to go back to how it was as a two horse race albeit dominated by Celtic in recent times?

Not judging, just curious as a neutral.

Toulouse have made an official approach to Motherwell for manager Jens Berthel Askou

https://www.heraldscotland.com/sport/26124239.toulouse-talks-motherwell-first-choice-berthel-askou/

Toulouse are in negotiations with Motherwell over a move to land Jens Berthel Askou as their next head coach.

The Fir Park boss is the number one candidate for the £1million a year post with the club who finished tenth in Ligue One.

Toulouse made an official approach to the Steelmen earlier this week over a move to land the coveted Dane.

While talks continue Motherwell sources say no deal has been agreed between the two sides over a compensation package.

Touted for the permanent vacancy at Celtic Askou secured fourth place over Hibernian and secure European football during a fine campaign in the SPFL Premiership when his side earned widespread praise for an entertaining, possession based style of football.

Formerly a coach in the Faroes with HB Torshavn the 43-year-old was also been the number two at Sparta Prague and FC Copenhagen before replacing Michael Wimmer last summer.

Despite a strong season in France Toulouse want to make the transition from a counter attacking game to a pressing style. And they have identified Askou as the best man for the job should a final agreement by reached with Motherwell.

Spanish boss Carles Martinez Novell left the French club after three seasons when Sunday’s clash with relegated Nantes was abandoned after 22 minutes when supporters entered the field of play and threw pyrotechnics and flares. Players and officials returned to the dressing room before the gam was called off 40 minutes later.

Should Askou leave Motherwell will charge head of recruitment Nick Daws with replicating the same successful data based approach to sourcing a replacement which turned up Wimmer and Askou.

Tom Renauld update

Paywalled article but basically states Tom Renauld has signed for the club

Applicable Segment from Article:St Johnstone winger Josh McPake and French midfielder Tom Renaud have both committed their futures to Hearts ahead of the 2026/27 campaign… Renaud has also signed a contract to move to Scotland from the French third-tier club Versailles. He watched Hearts’ 2-1 win over Rangers from the Tynecastle directors’ box earlier this month.

What really cost Hearts the title.

Since beating Dundee United 3-0 on 31st January, Hearts managed to win one away game (against 9 man Hibs).

Has all the talk of biased referees, pitch invasions and dodgy penalties been to deflect from Hearts terrible away form?
