Hi everyone,
I’m trying to run 3x ASRock Intel Arc Pro B70 Creator 32GB on an ASRock WRX80 Creator R2.0 platform, but the cards currently seem to be not detected at all. (nothing to see in lspci, dmesg, etc.)
This does not look like unstable driver behavior or inconsistent initialization. The system apparently does not enumerate the B70 cards properly at all, so I suspect a possible PCIe / BIOS / firmware compatibility issue.
System specs:
- Mainboard: ASRock WRX80 Creator R2.0
- CPU: AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro 5955WX, 16-Core, sWRX8
- RAM: 8x 16GB Micron DDR4-3200 ECC RDIMM, 2Rx8 Part number: MTA18ASF2G72PDZ-3G2R1TI
- GPUs: 3x ASRock Intel Arc Pro B70 Creator 32GB
- PSU: Corsair HX1500i, 1500W
- M.2 SSD: Samsung 990 Pro 2TB NVMe
- OS: Ubuntu 26.04
Firmware Information:
| BMC Firmware Version | 2.03.00 |
|---|---|
| BIOS Firmware Version | 10.03 |
| PSP Firmware Version | 0.26.0.29 |
| Microcode Version | 0a00820f |
Relevant BIOS / Linux settings already checked or tested:
- CSM disabled
- Above 4G Decoding enabled
- Resizable BAR enabled
- PCIe generation settings
- PCIe slot / lane behavior
- Linux kernel / Intel driver stack
The main question: Has anyone successfully used one or more Intel Arc Pro B70 cards on an ASRock WRX80 Creator / Creator R2.0 board?
I’m especially interested in:
- Working BIOS version / settings
- Whether WRX80 needs a specific firmware update for newer Intel Arc Pro cards
- PCIe generation settings that helped
- Any known incompatibility between ASRock / Intel Arc Pro B70 and ASRock WRX80 Creator R2.0
- Linux kernel / Mesa / Intel compute stack versions that worked
Any hints, working configurations or similar experiences would be highly appreciated.
Thanks!
