I don't know what to do anymore
My husband, son (6), and I are all level 1 autistic with ADHD. My husband and I are not in a good place at all. Our days consist of being miserable and contemplating suicide.
We have tried everything we can think of with our son in regard to his behavior. Gentle parenting, strict parenting, reward systems, we even let him do whatever he wanted with the caveat that we would help him with NOTHING one evening. Everything works until it doesn't. The same goes for the bus and school. Everyone at the school and the bus driver are asking us for answers to his behavior and every one else acts like we're over exaggerating.
My husband told me last night that he truly does not care about our son at all anymore. I'm drowning and I just need a life preserver because mine (my husband) is almost completely deflated.
Does anyone know of any specific therapies or literally anything that could help my son and/or us? I'm in VA USA.
