My Panomatic Lunar appears to need service - the power reserve is only good for about a day. I reached out to GO, and they said I can bring the watch in to a GO retailer or send it to Miami, but either way the watch would be sent to Germany in the end for service. I'm in the US. They quoted 770 euro for the service, including VAT. I asked if VAT could be refunded since I don't live in the EU, like with purchases. They said no, VAT can't be refunded. I don't know the intricacies of VAT - you can get it refunded for purchases if you reside outside of the EU, but not for service? I asked if it could be serviced in the US and they said no.
Does anyone else have experience with this? It seems like their service cost has gone up from what I've seen in forums.
