Anyone know this watch model?
Hey all - my brother gifted me this watch, but I know nothing about it. Anyone know the specific model?

Hey all - my brother gifted me this watch, but I know nothing about it. Anyone know the specific model?
Has anyone tried replacing the original screw down caseback with a Saphire display caseback? What was your experience - and what did you pay?
Am considering it. Am in Europe (Denmark) if that makes a difference
noticed something strange on my panomatic inverse today
its been sitting for a few weeks and I wanted to wear it. pulled it out of the box and started winding. got to about 20 turns and noticed it still wasn’t running. I pulled the crown out as if to set the time, put it back in and it started running immediately and seems to be keeping time
is this something to be concerned with?
Let me start by saying I love JLC and GO…I have each in my collection. I am looking for a diver that can be dressed or down and have narrowed it down to the Polaris 42mm date with the blue dial or the Go SeaQ with the pano date, either the great dial with the rose gold bezel or the blue. I have included photos of each. And, as a complete wild card, I will include the Rolex Skydweller two tone with a white dial. I travel a ton and the GMT with the annual calendar is nice. Any/all opinions and experiences with these pieces is welcome. Thanks in advance!
I have called a handful of ADs and even emailed GH and had no luck. Any would be greatly appreciated
I’m not sure if it is the order 1-39-59 or the newer 1-36-01
So there is a particular Senator model I’ve been looking for and I found one priced semi-aggressively at a local dealer. I found them on watchexchange but they have a brick and mortar and have 19 transactions on the sub.
Did a bit of googling and saw that fakes do exist for this watch, which I wasn’t expecting because it’s not a particularly popular model today.
What are hallmarks of fake GOs? I know what this watch is supposed to look like and I have pictures of the one I’m going to the store to look at, but there are always subtle tells.
Any help would be appreciated. I can share pics via dm if anyone knows their stuff.
Got this watch, Rose Gold, basically new (card shows may 2026) for 12k Euro in a small AD in Rome. Went there to pick up my JLC and end up with 2 watches kkkkk. Cold not pass the deal.
In my random accumulation of watches I like every new watch to offer something original - in design, complication or colour (or a combination).
For some time I’ve been looking for a watch with a purple dial - I initially thought that box would be ticked by a Lavender dial Oyster Perpetual, but then I saw the GO Sixties Chronograph Annual Edition https://www.glashuette-original.com/en/watches/vintage/sixties-chronograph-annual-edition-1-39-34-08-22-04/
The standard strap is black, but this is a “large” in green. I used the inverted commas on “large” since it’s barely bigger than the standard strap, but at least I can wear it on the last but two hole, whereas the standard strap is still a bit snug on the final hole. I’m awaiting delivery of a Delugs custom strap in purple leather which I’m hoping will be perfect.
The gold hands and indices look amazing against the textured purple dial - the overall effect is extremely elegant and classy.
Downsides? Only two that I’ve discovered , but neither are deal breakers:
The synthetic straps are fine, but they just look a bit cheap against such a refined watch. I think it’s a shame that there’s no bracelet or leather option, forcing you to look to other manufacturers. I feel the same way about Omega woven nylon straps, and they’re of higher quality than the GO synthetic straps, but at least Omega can supply alligator straps in various colours, or a superb mesh bracelet.
The chronograph can only time up to 30 minutes whereas my others (Speedy, Navitimer) have a third subdial that counts up to 12 hours. This isn’t a disaster (first world problems!) but it limits its use ability - fine for timing coffee brewing, but not enough to time dog walks!
Another thing that isn’t really a downside but is slightly annoying is the Subdial layout - in every other chronograph I’ve seen the running seconds is at 9 o’clock, with the chronograph 30 minutes counter being at 3 o’clock, whereas they’re the other way round on this. This is very minor though, and in reality you adapt very quickly.
So overall I’m extremely pleased with my first Glashütte Original - I just wish there was a GO boutique where it’s possible to see and try on the entire range; my nearest AD has a pathetically small selection and a ridiculous bureaucracy in getting one in to try on (ten days after requesting one the request had still not got to GO, despite GO offering to expedite things, it was stuck at “I’ve asked my manager if…”)
Oh, and as an afterthought, for those relics like me who actually use a watch for telling the time, it’s timekeeping is excellent!
How much is a rubber or synthetic strap for a seaq pano? Are they readily available at ADs? How about a steel bracelet?
Hi all,
I recently purchased the GO SeaQ and I’m very happy with it. Hasn’t been serviced since it was purchased in 2021 and I believe the GO warranty ended two years later.
Watch is great and I’m really happy with it, when I went to get it pressure tested for water I also asked for the watchmaker to test the time. It’s running about -7/-8 overall slow.
Of all the other watches I have this is the slowest and although it’s not annoying I wanted to ask you what your thoughts are on getting this regulated.
Is it worth sending it in for service now or should I just wait and send it for a service in a few years? Is this normal for GO? Would you take it to a local watchmaker to adjust this or send to someone like watchrepairsusa or do you have other recommendation?
To me it’s not a big deal if it was consistent with the brand tolerances but I thought I’d ask since everyone on here has been great with responses.
Thanks in advance!
Looking to add a time only Senator Excellence in rose gold to my collection. Does anyone own this piece and if yes can you share some impressions of it? I have no possibility to see the watch in person so I'd be buying it blind (like basically every other watch I own).
As a true German craftsmanship lover in the watch landscape, I’m considering go further after enjoying a NOMOS.
Glashütte Original seems to be the perfect upper step as A Lange und Sohne is for the moment out of budget for me.
Do some of you guys have some feedbacks on having a SeaQ 39.5mm or PanoReserve for years ? Accuracy of the movement, price of the maintenance and frequency, the power of scratches catching ?
Here is some lovely (I guess) pictures of my tries !
Thanks in advance Dear Gentlemen,
O
A completely unexpected purchase. I was looking at Grand Seikos, Tudors and happened to stroll over to the GO section. I saw the PanomaticLunar and just fell in love with the dial. Kept coming back to it and decided to buy it! What is GO accuracy like? I’m noticing it’s running +5 seconds/day so far. I’m guessing that’s within spec (and I know that its pretty decent), but curious what others real world experience is. Thanks!
Ok, ok, not "all Breguet watches are inferior to all GO watches", but I've been shopping around for rose gold dress watches for a good few months now and I've narrowed it down to either a GO Senator Excellence time-only vs a Breguet Classique 7147.
So pros and cons.

I am struggling to find reasons to like the Breguet more than the GO, but I can't. It feels like a watch that is coasting on the Breguet name but offers very little for the price.
This might be asking for group think but what are your points of view on this watch? I tried it on, I actually love how it looks and I have nothing in violet. Strap I can replace, and I don't care too much about the 3 bar water resistance. I guess the biggest point of concern is the modular movement that is a few generations behind competition and charging $10K for this movement. Thoughts?
