On the strap until I could get the bracelet sized. Smudgy picture fresh from my local snorkeling spot. On the bracelet now and much better on the wrist.
I keep staring at the dial.

Look what I got
But missing pusher tool to fix the moon. Is there anything which can safely be used as a substitute (ignoring the dire warnings in the manual)?
I've had the watch for about a year now. Love it, but does anyone else's dial crystal also get smudged very easily? I usually have to wipe it with a clean cloth every now and then. Just wondering if this is normal or if I'm overthinking.
I've had watches with loud rotors before, but this is out of the ordinary I feel. The rotor on this thing will spin like crazy on any arm movement, light tapping of the case or flipping the case upside down. Like sometimes I'd rest my arm on my desk and I can actually feel the case vibrating from the rotor spinning.
I'd expect the rotor to be noisier and to move a lot due to the unidirectional winding and the 21K oscillating weight, but isn't this excessive? Is every PML like this?
I've not noticed any problems with the power reserve though. And I assume the winding is highly efficient in this way.
Finally received my grail Diver! Had to buy it sight unseen, and it's absolutely gorgeous.
Now that I have it , I'm a bit unsure about the size. I think I can pull it off, but I'd be definitely the largest of the watches I own. Looking for some feedback!
Yay or nay? Alternative is a classic 39.5mm seaQ either green or black.
Also, what do you think about getting the bracelet? And the rubber strap?
Thanks!
2025 Red Gold SeaQ, rubber strap, ref. 1-39-11-17-91-33. The finest watch I’ve ever owned; beats my Rolex by a country mile on everything from toughness to style. Why this brand isn’t more famous is beyond me — but I like it that way.
She’s been in 3 of our 5 oceans. This was yesterday off Islas Santa Catalina, Costa Rica. Very rough sea day but beautiful under the water.
Hey Reddit! I appreciate all of the advice thus far. I am down to two watches. The GO SeaQ bi-metal with the gray dial or the JLC Polaris with the green dial. All opinions and any experience with either is welcome. Would love to see your watch pictures as well of these two fine watches!
I’m torn between which to get next. This will be my main watch for formal events and the office. I’m 25 and want to make sure the watch is age appropriate. I plan to get both but I’ll need to wait >=2 years between so looking for help deciding which to wait on and which to pull the trigger on
For reference, my collection is on pic 3- my favorites are a violet version of the GS Shunbun and a GS Sport GMT, so neither the GO nor the JLC will repeat a piece I already have
I really like the PanoMaticLunar but don’t want to add another white/blue/green dial to my collection. I really like the grey/black dial but have seen other owners say they got tired of the black over time
I think a deep red/burgundy dial would look phenomenal on the PML. Thoughts?
I was a bit curious about this when I realized that my 2021 blue chronograph’s case number was actually chronological. I think they stopped doing this in 2022 or so when they switched the font on the brand name on the caseback and traded the dart indices for batons with lumen. Anyway, mine, as you can see, is no. 1303. Figuring they probably make a round number of these each year, and calculating that production on the 70s Chonos started in 2014, it seems as if they make about 165 or 170 each year (including the year 2014, mine came out in the 8th year). There weren’t enough photos with visible numbering online for me to figure out if the case numbers were chronological by dial color or just in general. Please weigh in if you know. Regardless, these are still pretty rare.
Post a photo of yours below if you own one. I’d love to see how many people following this forum do. Maybe we can have a meetup! Haha!
Hi,
Anyone successfully removed the rubber strap from the model? I've tried jewelers hammer and punch and they barely budge. I got a leather strap and bracelet and I'd love to be able to interchange. I'm pretty good with fine work as I've changed many watch bracelets scratch free. But damn this is tough.
For whoever has done it successfully, what tools did you use and could you share any tips?
Thankyou
I wanted to swap the bracelet for something lighter in the warmer months.
Hi all - could anyone let me know if this watch seems authentic or not? Appreciate it!
The strap also fits with the original signed buckle. Watch Ref: 38-42 caliber
