Seventies Strap Removal

Hi,

Anyone successfully removed the rubber strap from the model? I've tried jewelers hammer and punch and they barely budge. I got a leather strap and bracelet and I'd love to be able to interchange. I'm pretty good with fine work as I've changed many watch bracelets scratch free. But damn this is tough.

For whoever has done it successfully, what tools did you use and could you share any tips?

Thankyou

Beta 2.0 on 2 devices.

I'm fortunate enough to have picked up a second voltra. Unfortunately, when I try to register for the beta program with the new device S/N it says i have already registered. Unfortunately twin mode won't work unless both are on the same firmware. Has anyone else run into this issue? And how did you resolve it?

Thankyou!!

Happy Birthday to Me

Never had GO on my radar, but saw this model on my algorithm and was intrigued. It ticked so many boxes in one package and was so cool! Went to check it out and try it on, ended up driving home with it.

Was looking for a birthday watch that was a little different from my usual Sub, Batman and Grand Seiko rotation. Was deciding between this or a Moser streamliner. The GO won on the fact that it was so different to anything I've ever worn, and that's saying a lot as the streamliner is so unique in its own right. Definitely a little more heft than I'm used to, but the complications, movement, finish and dial are absolutely stunning. And the fact that it's water resistant to 100m is insane.

Was a little worried about the thickness on my shmedium sized wrists, but it wears shockingly well on the rubber strap(better for me than the technically excellent bracelet imo). I also often wear a full sized Garmin Fenix, so yeah. But to anyone looking at it, reading reddit, and shying away because of the size . Try it on with both the bracelet and the straps. You may be surprised.

Next up is to commission a custom leather strap in an exotic material as I do with all my watches and probably pick up the GO leather one too. Got a feeling this one will be top of rotation for a while.

Kinda a DIY belt squat platform

Bought the Vesta platform on sale. Really want the oak club but couldn't justify another $1000 after I just bought a voltra and some mounts.

Had a custom crossmember made according to the measurement between the legs. and put some bolts i had lying around through to hold it in place. Added a voltramounts.com mount. Very decent belt squat platform. Great for biceps too.

I put a couple kettlebells on the foot plate for dips and pull ups and its pretty perfect. Whole thing cost me under $400. Not including the mount which i use on my rack as well. The holes are an odd size on the vesta, but with some washers and locking nuts its very stable with 5/8th hardware.

Just another idea if anyone is looking for something.
