Arrest at Nostrand and Fulton last night, around 10 pm
Posting this here in case anybody else saw it. A large police presence was at the intersection last night. Saw them dragging a man literally kicking and screaming into a cop car, and they also arrested at least one other person who yelled at them to chill out. Like a lot of other bystanders I filmed it. The cops not actively subduing anyone seemed very sheepish, so I know at least some of those involved questioned what they were doing.
Nobody could tell me what the guy even did; I just heard a rumor that he said something rude to an officer. How are other transplants going about voicing opposition to this stuff? I feel like it's nominally being done for "our benefit" but I would prefer NYPD apprehend actual violent criminals rather than make large displays of force against mostly-harmless vagrants/unmedicated schizophrenics.
