Reducing RBE in 3D mode?

I recently just got a Vision Master Pro 2, and I'm really liking it. Initially, the rainbow effect did bother me. But then I learned about the new feature added in recent firmware to reduce the rainbow effect. After turning that on, I don't really see it at all. However, I do see it when watching 3D movies.

Now I read somewhere else that changing the color temperature to Warm 2 reduced the rainbow effect. I did that when watching a 3D movie and tested it this morning, and it did seem to help. Now I'm wondering, though: are there any plans to improve the 3D specifically to try to reduce the rainbow effect for 3D content? I think people have submitted that as a request. I just didn't know if there had been any more news on that or if they had said anything.

Valerion VisionMaster Pro 2 + Panasonic UB420 owners — what are your settings?

Just picked up a Valerion VisionMaster Pro 2 to replace my Epson 4010 in a fully dark basement theater. I'm using a Panasonic DP-UB420 as my disc player.

Two questions for the community:

  1. Anyone else running this combo (or similar, Pro 2 with any Panasonic player)? I previously had my UB420 set to output SDR/BT.2020 with the HDR Optimizer on since the Epson couldn't handle HDR well on its own. I'm assuming I should turn all of that off now and let the Valerion do its thing, but I'd love to hear from anyone who's tested different configurations. What settings are you using on the player side?

  2. The UB420 doesn't support Dolby Vision, and the Pro 2 does. For those of you who've compared HDR10 vs Dolby Vision on the Pro 2, is the difference significant enough to justify upgrading to a UB820 at some point, or is the Pro 2's built-in dynamic tone mapping good enough that HDR10 from the UB420 gets you most of the way there?

Appreciate any input. Thanks!

Any new racing games that are similar to Burnout or maybe even the older Need for Speed games?

So I haven't really gotten into a racing game in many, many years but I used to love the original three Burnout games. I wasn't as big of a fan of Burnout Paradise. I just didn't like the open-world aspect of it.

Also I really did like the older Need for Speed games. I'm trying to remember which ones it was that I really liked but I have tried a couple of the newer ones that were okay but just didn't seem as good as some of the older titles. I'd love to hear any suggestions for more arcadey-type racing games that can be on PC, Xbox, or PlayStation. I have all three.

▲ 1 r/Mold

I just want to test and make sure that we don't have black mold by chance. I know we get some mold in our bathroom ceiling that we clean up every few months. I want to test to see if we have anything that is a major issue like black mold. I haven't necessarily seen anything that indicates black mold but we know other people in our city that have had it and I'd just like to be sure.
