Fifty dollar find

Fifty dollar find

Got this on a great deal, and could not say no. It powers up, but it does not play. I've found oodles of videos and blog posts on servicing, so I have a Summer project for myself now, heheh

However, I wonder how to record into it. I'm a Pro Tools user, and I've fooled around with Tascam's before, but this is certainly a piece of gear I have never met before. I suppose I would need to go out from a mixing desk into the 366's rca in's on the side, yes? Would love some recommendations for mixing desks that play nicely with this.

Cheers

Old Saturn and replacement parts

Bought a whole bunch of old guitars (a widow, a guitarist husband that passed, etc) and I've brought the lot of them home to work on, shape up, and better my skills and make a buck.

Started on the dustiest one. The biggest flaws are a missing A-string tuner, a missing e-string roller-saddle, a missing trem bar, a missing nut, and pickguard that is slightly chipped.

It occurs to me that replacing these with period-correct parts requires some hunting for similar for-parts instruments, but with these Japanese-made 60's guitars, how generally were these manufactured? In the case of the roller, do I need to find the exact style model? Or can I reliable find a totally different body style and it'll have the correct part? Anyone with similar experience able to chime in?

I hope my question isn't too particular. Thanks for the help 🤙🏻

How to get rid of a display torah? [Toronto]

I was gifted a small torah for my bar mitzvah many years ago, and I'm sure it's rabbinically criminal to say so but I no longer have space for it. The last thing I'm about to do is to throw it out. Is there a place I may donate it to? It really is rather small.
