I just got a HD 550 with a BAM and every time I try to use the BAM, the right side of the headphones don't work, only the left side. But when I use the regular cord that came with the headset, both sides of the headphones work. Is the BAM just faulty? Or am I plugging it in wrong? I'm locking it into place and such correctly ( I assume)

I was thinking about getting these headphones, how are they for gaming? Especially in games where hearing footsteps and other noises is important? Thanks for any answers!
