Make the M80s flight characteristics balance make sense please
I think for the most part, the ship designers at CIG do a pretty good job of tuning to the roles of ships, especially recently. However, the M80 is a great example of nonsensical tuning that has occasionally been applied to ships in this game.
The M80 being out-turned by a Vanguard Harbinger was definitely not on my bingo card for that ship.
You could argue that in the case of the M80, its armament and straight-line speed push it into some kind of "heavy interceptor/boom-and-zoom" role, but the delta between its maneuverability and the other heavy fighters (excluding the also-very-slow F8C...which is still more agile) is stark.
However, the most egregious example is actually the Shiv, a "Heavy Fighter" that is more maneuverable than almost every Medium Fighter in the game while also boasting beds, internal storage, and heavier armament than most of them.
