Ps5 Pro now after Sony’s latest move?

new to DF reddit so dont know if this is allowed but i will post anyway.

This is going to be my first console. i am planning to buy PS5 Pro in few days. I really dont like Sony killing physical games. But at the same time, I need UI/UX that’s fluid and easy to use on my 100” projector and surround sound system.

my thought: lets buy ps5 pro, enjoy all the physical games from ps4 and ps5 era, and in 3-5 years, transition to PC when linux gets good enough support to be used in living room setup. At which point, i can sell my physical games collection then (or hold on for few more years and prob profit lol since physical media might be so scarce that my PS setup might appreciate in value)

is my plan sound? Or should i just jump to PC now? I dont see many reviews of SteamOS in living room. and Nvidia cards still seem like hit or miss in linux.

UPDATE:: Thank you everyone. I have decided to buy PS5 Pro now then transition to PC in about 4 years. My reasons are as follows: comparable PC is at least $700 more expensive, i get a BluRay player for my projector built in (min $200 value), and first party games sound pretty cool ( marvel’s wolverine, GT7). There are some personal reasons too: my family members and I cant/dont want to use windows thanks to MS shenanigans, Linux support while good needs few more years of polish, and I see myself more financially capable later for a much better PC build than what i could afford now.
