Introducing two kittens?

I have a 10 month old kitten that I have had since he was 8 weeks old. He is the best boy. He is strictly indoors but he loves going on walks and will bring us his harness. He doesn't tend to be fearful of small dogs or other cats we see in the neighborhood. He does occasionally hiss at them though. He LOVES people, very outgoing. Has never hid, not even as a kitten. He loves to be carried around and will jump into your arms. He definitely has single kitten syndrome (which I didn't know was a thing until it was too late). He plays very rough and will leave us all marked up on our arms. He is neutered (was neutered at 5 months old). I think in the long run he would benefit from a friend because he does get anxious when I go to work. He isn't home a lone for long hours, but typically from 9-3 M-F.

I am considering picking up another male cat next week. He is 10 weeks old.

How would I do this type of introduction? We live in a very small apartment. I want to do things the right way so they can have the best possible relationship.

Also, my irrational fear is that getting a second cat will change my current cat. Am I right in thinking that? Like I'm scared that he will completely love the other cat and stop loving on us humans. Does this happen? Am I overthinking?
