FREE tickets are available at all Brampton Library branches for the Brampton Steelheads vs Kingston Frontenacs game, happening this Friday, October 9th at CAA Centre! It is first comes, first served while quantities last with no limits on the number of tickets you can get, so bring all your friends and family.

To get your voucher, visit your nearest branch and ask a staff member about Brampton Steelheads hockey tickets. Then, you can take these vouchers to the box office to redeem them before the game starts.

If you've been concerned about radon levels inside your home, borrow a digital radon detector for free from your nearest Library branch for 30 days. The Library doesn't only have books and DVDs but other things too!

If you haven't explored it yet, check out the Library of Things on the Brampton Library website. You'll find that Library members have access to many items including:

1. equipment such as Go Pros and telescopes
2. digital items like Launchpads and STEM at Home packs for kids
3. experiences to parks, museums, and galleries through entry passes, and bird kits to explore on your own

The Library is welcoming Caitie from Super Simple Songs and Caitie’s Classroom for a live Story Time and Sing-Along at Springdale Branch Library on Wednesday, July 22 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. The event is free with space for 100 guests. You will need to come 30 mins before the event starts to grab that free ticket, so come early to secure your spot.

And good news, there are two more Storytimes Adventures planned for the summer––meet a mermaid on July 21 and explore scuba diver Shannon's underwater adventures on August 21!

Exciting news! The 2026–27 Local Authors Showcase was announced today and you can read about the authors and their books on our website. We have 81 titles this year on varying topics by 57 authors of all ages and experience.

Also, join us on Saturday, June 13, the very first day of the Downtown Farmers' Market from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. to meet these talented authors, shop their books, and get them autographed at the Local Authors Showcase Book Fair!

For a limited time, the Library will be offering passes to The Great War Flying Museum, operated by the Ontario Aviation Historical Society. An exciting addition to the current borrowable passes, at this museum you can see authentically restored WWI aircraft up close, watch them take to the skies, and other treasures.

Hi Brampton!

As you know, our After-Hours Study Halls are open to members every Saturday and Sunday from 6 to 10 p.m. With your Brampton Library card, study space is available at our Four Corners, Gore Meadows, South Fletcher's, and Springdale branches.

But that's not all. For a limited time, by popular demand, we are pleased to offer another After-Hours Study Hall extension with more days and more hours.

Work, study, and enjoy more time at the Library from May 25th to June 24th, 2026, at Gore Meadows, South Fletcher's, and Springdale. Please note, Four Corners is not included in the extension, but offers the usual study halls on Saturdays and Sundays from 6 - 10 p.m. Here is the schedule during the extension:

• Mondays to Thursdays: 10 p.m. to 1 a.m.
• Fridays to Sundays: 6 to 10 p.m.

Hi Brampton 👋!

It has been two months since South Fletcher's Branch Library re-opened at 500 Ray Lawson Blvd in the Susan Fennell Sportsplex after its full renovation.

Now, we are officially cutting the ribbon on the transformed 14,000 square foot branch next week on Tuesday, May 5th, hosted by Brampton Library Board Chair Nicole Russell and Chief Executive Officer Todd Kyle! Joining us for the celebration are Mayor Brown and Regional Councillors.

Come celebrate the re-opening with us at 11 a.m. and learn more about your library space at the event with branch tours (and potentially get a Brampton Library cookie 🍪- while supplies last 🤭).
