I went to the dentist a few months ago about a tooth that had become very sensitive to hot and cold. He said he didn’t see anything wrong with it even after an xray and cleaning. I went back because it still bothered me and he said he saw a very small crack so he drilled and filled the crack. Said the crack was deep. The tooth 4 months later is still incredibly sensitive to hot and cold. No pain or aching just super sensitive. Also the filling is very smooth on top and feels kind of thick. Different than any filling I’ve ever had although i haven’t had a filling in many years. I’m going to have to go back again but wanted to get any opinions here. Maybe the filling is not right or the crack is still exposed? Something else possibly? He also had me try antibiotics but that did nothing on change the sensitivity. Said the root looks healthy.
