Have you all ever heard of this happening before? I've been with this company for 8 years and was just told today that there was a recent policy change and any tip over 100% has to be held for 4 weeks in case of a charge reversal.

I had a guest leave me a $100 tip on a $70 tab as a wedding gift, which I now can't even collect until two weeks after my wedding date. Doesn't sit right with me. 4 weeks seems like an absurd amount of time.
