Been a sole trader since 2019 and winter was extremely slow so started looking for full time jobs.

Was told back at start of March by a potential employer that I would need to file a cancellation of self employment or it will mess with the payee system, being naive I filed the form online but have heard nothing back and ended up not working at the company due to reasons.

My question is I’m now getting more work as if I’m a sole trader but have no idea if it’s gonna mess up the 26-27 self assessment. Also would I need to tick yes to the cease trading question under this years self assessment, I have had income as of being a sole trader since trading and the end of the tax year
