I have two peyote that have this orange tint. The first one also looks like it's shriveling up on one of its sides. I can't tell if it's been sunburnt or if it's something else. I have been top watering them recently so I did wonder whether this was residue from something that had dried on their sides but it doesn't rub off.

What's the deal with this section underneath the peyote seedlings? It's almost like it formed a new peyote on top of the old one. Quite a few have done this but others haven't
