I was checking under my 2004 Dodge Neon after a decent hole was hit. No leaks or anything to bad, but I noticed this wire (?) Is it to the breaks or something else? And is it a do it at home remedy? (Seems like it, but rather ask then try anything) I like learning about cars but I've only just started to take interest, no clue what I'm seeing.
Hello, I went to refill my hummingbird feeder and I saw this guy in my flower pot. She was stuck on her back so I helped her up and noticed this stuff on her wings. Another bee is unable to fly but I haven't found a cause yet. I've used some water and q tips to try and gently remove the stuff from her wings with no luck. They are stuck together. I've offered sugar water and she seems like she's given up. Anything else I can do?
Edit: also need to mention it is only on 3 of her wings. Her right smaller one is fine and she can still use it
Edit 2: the other bee seems to have its right two wings stuck together. Not sure with what (also edited because I forgot these are females)
Update on other bee: with some warm water and a qtip I was able to get her wings unstuck. She's drying off now in the sun with a sugar water qtip to get her energy back. Hopefully she will take flight soon. Still working on bee that's pictured. Letting her rest and gain some strength before I clean up her more.
Update: got her bigger wings unstuck.
Update 2: once her larger wings got unstuck she could then move them to her side and clean them. I left her alone with the other bee to let them do their things. I have checked on them periodically and outcome is looking promising.
Update on other bee 2: Has successfully taken flight. The main bee is still cleaning her wings.
FINAL UPDATE: She has successfully cleaned her wings and has flown off. Wishing Dottie good luck on her way back home.
