Schengen visa processing times Australia

Hi I’m in a bit of a bind. I got a last minute invite a conference in Sweden and am applying for the Schengen visa from Australia (but I’m an Indian Citizen). I’ve had three Schengen visas before this including a residence permit, but none weee from Sweden.
The earliest appointment in the city I live in is the 29th of May (I’ve been checking since last week), my flight is scheduled for the 11th of June.
I have the option of getting an earlier appointment in a different center but that would involve travel to the city.
Realistically is there any way to :

  1. Fast track processing after submission on the 29th.
  2. Do cancellations happen often and can earlier timeslots be available for rescheduling?
  3. Should I just take an earlier appointment but across the country to not risk having my passport delayed?

Thank you for any advice. Just an unfortunate set of events that led to this time crunch.

My uncle’s fight has ended

My uncle had NSCLC, stage 4. The mets were small. He was on targeted immunotherapy drugs. He made it 15 months since his original diagnosis. I posted here before. He passed away an hour go after his blood oxygen levels dropped. They couldn’t bring him back. I guess I’m writing here because I don’t know, I’m far away from the rest of my family. I don’t know what to think. He didn’t suffer right? He fought as much as he could.

I’m a mess, thanks for reading this if you did.
