Is it odd to start questioning yourself as an adult?

I have been on a few dates with the opposite sex and chatted online with people. I have not ever had what I would call a genuine connectio. My relationship history is pretty bleak. I am now at a point where I am wondering if there is something wrong with me. Or wondering if I should explore other sexuality identity I don’t think this is written well I am trying to articulate myself. I am alone a lot and would like to have a wider social circle and find a community of people.
