I have had the worst luck with fine particle magnetics. I can’t bring myself to destash them, but they hate me.
A while ago on this subreddit, I saw someone recommended the Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear “invisible” nail polish as a topcoat. It’s it’s not actually a topcoat. It is a clear nail polish. I have tried all my other topcoats with my magnetics and been completely disappointed so this morning I decided to look up whether or not the Sally Hansen contains toulene. I saw that it does not, so I thought I’d give it a try.
I had absolutely no expectations, but I also figured I had nothing to lose, my fine particle magnetics always look like crap.
I could not believe my first finger when I took it out of the spinner. Could not believe it! It was perfect, with no effort. And then the rest of the manicure was perfect too. I feel like I won the nail polish lottery today.
Base - 1 coat KB Shimmer Fillin Groovy
Polish - Haunted By the Moonlight - 1 coat demagnetized, 1 coat 5d spinner
Top - 1 coat Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Invisible magnetized
MIND BLOWN.
(Disclaimer 1 - it is a VERY runny polish and a little goes a long way. Very very easy to flood cuticles, so I do recommend playing with it some before putting it on a perfect glass bead.
Disclaimer 2 - it is not a QDTC. I used some dry drops on top to help protect it while it was drying.)
