I am wanting to try Howl’s Moving Castle by Pahlish. But I have now tried this brand yet. I am also looking at This is The Ass of A Killer, Bella from Royal Lee via Polish Pickup for July. But I haven’t tried that brand either. I really like Mooncats formula and Holo Taco. So how do these compare. What about Cosmic Polish?

TLDR because I’m a chronic overexplainer: I’m looking for a bright, fun red- nothing vampy or dark. Cremes or shimmers, no magnetics.
Ok first of all my nails are GOING THROUGH IT right now. I have been keeping press ons on the two shorties, but now the remaining middle finger has problems🥲 it’s held together with a silk nail wrap, and then I got a big blob of glue on the tip that I couldn’t buff flat so I just cut the tip off. I don’t want to try to shape it bc I think that the whole thing just needs to be left alone for a while.
Anyway. I want to add some reds to my collection, but I don’t really know about undertones and cool/warm colors or anything like that, so I usually just buy whatever looks nice in the bottle but then I put it on and it doesn’t look good. It’s been a few years since I tried one, so I unfortunately can’t give any examples of ones that haven’t worked.
I have vitiligo that becomes more pronounced in the summer when I’m spending time in the sun, and it spreads more over time. I’m at the point now where the skin around my nails is pretty much entirely depigmented so that probably adds another layer of “wtf am I even doing?” to my confusion.

No layering needed, BKL made the perfect gay algae (Al-gay) polish by themselves. Blackmail by BKL is a rainbow flake magnetic with a swamp green base that’s murky on the nail without full sun.

Do y’all know how long it’s been since something has stood out to me at the drugstore? I’ve never seen such a perfect orange🥹🧡 I’m on a low-buy so this was definitely a great unexpected find!
i use 2 coats of holo taco polish (dead petals) with 2 coats of sally hansen big shiny top coat. this also happens with holo taco glossy top coat. i always wrap the edges but they still end up losing the edge (look closely on the top right of my nail) by the next day. then chip right after. the polish then lifts easily and i can peel off big pieces. ik its a bad habit but my hair gets snagged under the polish
for reference, i have a very hands on job so i’m guessing its from that but i wear gloves too.
really annoying to put in work just for it to do this the next day.
This is my first big break since starting my lacquerista journey last Fall. I'm so bummed! Time to file them all down and start fresh!

This is my first Sylan Claw polish! In direct light or bright sun it's a deep cobalt to bright spring green but in low light the rich purple to aqua comes out to play. Truly a delight! I did used a coat of Nail Tek 2 Strengthen, two coats of Sorcerer Supreme, one coat of DRK Magic Effect with 90 sec magnetized under the Etsy 5D printfactory perfect glass bead tool (topped with a 30 lb horseshoe), then a coat of Cuticula QDTC and did a 60 sec spin.
My first time using DRK and Cuticula as well. I'm uncertain how I feel about DRK Magic Effect. I think I'll need more time to work with it but at this moment I don't see how it benefited me other than maybe a slightly more even magnetization pattern on my thumbs which can be difficult due to how wide and curved they are. 🤔
I somehow hadn't used these colors yet, and they fit the theme perfectly!

I'm in love. And honestly, I think this polish is near perfect. From the creamy, satin formula to the swampy prugly-leaning chartreuse shifts, it's really so gorgeous.
This is 2 coats of BKL's Spirit of the Forest + KB shimmer clearly on top TC.
I went outside for photos before the weather cranks up to 100F again 🥵
Anyway, my YT kept recommending me water marbling shorts so I gave in to the influence 🤣. Also wanted to use magnetic polish for something too so also attempted butterfly wings.
The butterflies are a little sloppy since I, never done nail art and used non dominant hand 😅. Also ended up water marbling my thumb because I was on the struggle bus and I wanted to be done lol.
