I had a disagreement with my partner this evening and we want your opinion on what is the right thing to do.

Here is our dilemma:

We are both relaxing on the couch after dinner, he is on his phone and I am wrapping up some work on my laptop, the two dogs are next to us and the TV is on. He has had really bad gas since we both got home and I haven't said anything about it for about 4 hours. It is to the point where he will pass gas and it lingers in the blanket after he has gotten up to do something. I asked him when he returned to the couch to please not fart anymore as it is really stinky.

What should I have done?

1. Removed myself from the couch and went and worked in my office? I would not be as comfortable as sitting on the couch but would get away from the stinky farts.
2. Ask him to please not fart anymore while sitting at the couch and please get up every time to fart and do it elsewhere.

Please help us settle this disagreement with your response to what you would do.
