Early investing as college student (Chem Eng)

I’m a college student. I do not have much money on my account, max, $2000. I’m looking to invest in something kinda safe (80-90%) to begin with as I’ve got no knowledge whatsoever about this topic. I’m not looking for massive returns atm, more focused towards building some money for retirement. So advice as to specifically where to start and how to do it would be really appreciated

Prague flights

I want for a close member of mine to go visit Prague but he doesn’t have the means rn. I’d like to know if anyone knows where I’m able to find cheap flights since I’d like to gift it to him. The flights is around early September and I’d like for him to stay around a week or two. I’ve found one on google flights around $720. So idk if anyone’s knows something cheaper than that.

Petroleum?

I’m planning to go into chem Eng and then have a masters with petroleum. However, a lot of people have told me that it won’t be a reliable market at all in the next years. Essentially, because many companies are turning to have sustainable energy sources. I’m a bit concerned about how accurate this might be. Does anyone who works on petroleum have opinion on the latter ?

AXA Medical insurance

I'm planning to get this medical insurance as I'm applying for a long-stay visa. However, I don't know how good it is. Like, compared to how I used to be able to attend any type of appointments (if the doctors were within the group for applying to the coverage for the insurance, which there were quite a few) and for many medicines, I got 70% coverage or like all of the medicines. 80%-100% on operations. Or do you know a good medical insurance i could get for like about 3 years? I usually need to take some pills until I finish a certain treatment (just in case)

Chem eng computer recs [suggestion]

I’m planning to study chem eng and I’ve used my whole life MacBooks. We’ve installed Python, Anaconda, Visual Studio Code and some minor other programs with no problems. However, a friend of mine (who’s alr graduated and now’s working on something regarding computational chemistry, as a part time job) told me he has installed the following programs as required for his job. “So, Linux, GROMACS, VMD all in clusters like online mega-computers”. So I’m not sure how to proceed, I’ve got a 2020 model Mac and as I’m planning on buying a new computer, I’d like some advice.

Also. I’m unsure as to what I want to work in, maybe just research on certain things, petroleum, nuclear or pharmaceutical. Also, from what I got, he stated there shouldn’t be much of an issue within the major study time as such, as they haven’t used programs that may present problems for iOS users
