My girlfriend’s got a project - a website created with html. We’re having severe issues adding her MP3 audio file. She has the code right, and i’ve even gone through and done it myself. The little audio play/pause button pops up on live mode but shows 0 seconds of audio, probably because it’s not linked. The MP3 file is directly next to her Index file. It refuses to source the file, and when the file is dragged in it pops up coded out and still refuses to source. We’ve tried to use a new MP3 audio and still nothing.

I know the path or something must be messed up but this project has literally brought us both to tears trying to figure it out. I’ve sat and watched so many video and read so much that was talking about everything BUT our situation. I cannot find anything on it refusing to source the file. I only learned all of this helping her so sorry if i messed up explaining. Any and all help is appreciated and i can give more info.

edit: we got it!! not sure how but it decided to randomly pop up when typing the source file stuff, didn’t even have to change anything! thank you so so much for the help!!

Back in January, we got our first electric bill, $900, and because of that I've uncovered well basically everything. We were getting charged under a non-residential rate, and under 1 meter for two apartments. We've currently had a leak from the bathroom above us, dripping into our bedroom for ~2 months now (a house split into 3 apartments). This leak is what made me start to research more. Under public records my landlord has the house under some fake business name. My family knows his real business. The property is listed as a commercial building, possibly mixed use. There’s 3 apartments here, nothing commercial. I found an old listing before he bought the place that it used to be commercial. He has 3 violations and 3 complaints all saying he was doing construction work on the property for a residential building, when it is a commercial building (putting in showers, etc.).

Yesterday, we (finally) expected the person to come and put in a new meter, but instead an exterminator came and said someone in the building reported a rat. This morning our doorbell rang, we thought now the electric person came, but once again it was someone else. This person came in to measure our front door, and said tomorrow they'll be taking it. My girlfriend texted our landlord and he said it was only for a few hours, and until inspection was done. No one mentioned anything to us beforehand. My girlfriend told him she would be there for when they come. Now the landlord is saying they wont be taking our door, and will only being taking the front door of the building, and no one will be inside our apartment. I don't believe him, so I will be here tomorrow making sure of that. I believe he's doing this so he can pass inspection. I found a record of saying he will be doing work to fix the violations, taking out showers, sinks, bathroom fixtures.

I can answer any questions, just feeling so very lost on all of this. We only moved to this spot late December, and everyday it just feels like something new. Is there anything we can do? If an inspector comes tomorrow, do i bring it up to them? Really any advice would help.

edit: 8am they came took off our apartment front door. I believe they are taking the upstairs neighbors too (?) but if they do it will be as if our two apartments are one.

Decided to do a courthouse wedding! Does anyone know a spot to get a nice wedding dress for ~$500 and under? I’m totally okay with secondhand, but every thrift store i’ve seen near me has been emoty (homecrest area). I’d like to stay in brooklyn if possible!

edit: thank you for the recommendations! since i’m still getting some replies: my street clothing size is a 2, and i’m leaning more towards a mini dress!
