I’m German Indian and looking to watch more Malayalam movies. I have seen Vashi, Aatam, and a few others and really love the nuance and depth of malayam movies. If you have some suggestions for me I’d really appreciate it!
I got married in Denmark through a civil marriage and the certificate is properly apostilled, so technically it should already be valid in India.
But Indian authorities keep asking for extra “Indian validation” like:
- embassy stamp
- local registration
The Indian Embassy said they cannot attest the Danish marriage certificate because it is already apostilled.
For people who got married abroad:
- how did you get Indian authorities to accept it in practice?
- did you register it in India afterward?
- what actually worked?
I understand the legal position already. I’m trying to understand the practical solution.
