[WRITER SEEKING ARTIST] Long-term noir comic collab

I’ll be honest with y’all upfront. I’m a writer, not an artist, and I’m looking for someone to build something with and hopefully make some profit down the road.

The project is called Malsville, TX. It’s a dark, slowburn noir taking place in a small Texas town. The basic premise is a guy who’s been sleepwalking through life in this town, and the story follows him slowly waking up to the corruption and evil that’s been around him the whole time. There’s a supernatural element underneath it all, but it’s grounded. The main character has unique powers that I am very excited to see on page. The tone is heavy, atmospheric, and dark in a way that fits with the story I’m trying to tell not just for shock value.

I have a partial script for Issue #1. Not done yet, but will be very soon. I’m reaching out early because I’d rather find the right person than rush the process.

Here’s the honest breakdown of what this looks like:

•	Profit split, not paid. I want to be straight about that.
•	THE MAIN DREAM/GOAL IS PRINT but I’m willing to do a web comic to begin with if we have two for financial reasons.
•	I handle all the business and promotion side such as social, audience building, all of it. You just make the art.
•	I’ve managed a music artist before so I actually know how to do that part on a basic level

On the art — I’m looking for something mature and moody. Dark, detailed, serious. Quality matters a lot to me, which is why I want a real partner and not just whoever’s cheapest.

If any of this sounds interesting, drop your portfolio in the comments or DM me. Happy to talk.

I left a bunch of overstock in the cooler… Market manager walked in as I was walking out

My team lead and coach had me work a bunch of stuff out the back before I was completely done with new freight and I had to go at my scheduled time AND I tried to make them aware of the situation and compromise with them. What am I supposed to do, man?
