[PAID POSITION] WRITER LOOKING FOR ARTIST

[CLOSED]
Thank you everyone that sent the portifolios! I'm in contact with an artist going forward, so I'll leave this closed note here!
Thank you, everyone is amazing in this sub!!! damn!

Hello dear people! IT IS I AGAIN!

My dumbass forgot to say it's a paid position lmao.

4000 USD monthly. Unfortunatly, this rate is the max I can pay, so please only reply if it is something that would make sense to you. <3

I'm looking for an artist to illustrate a webtoon.

You would recieve:

A bi-weekly script, with panel by panel written description and rough composition sketch to show where things should be.

We would first create concept arts for all characters before making the first chapter of course.

It is a Drama/Romance, and a musical! so knowlodge about instruments and representing sound through drawing is a stand out!

Please leave your portifolio on the coments, links to artstation or such, I will only be DMing artists that I am considering for the position to avoid flooding my DMs cuz I don't want to end up ghosting anybody ;---;

Which cover would catch your eyes more? Or should I redo them entirely?

This is my first comic, and I feel like covers aren't my strong suit. I've scrolled through covers trying to gather inspiration but I never feel satisfied with them. Basically I wanna know if I am overthinking LOL

For those of you contemplating on starting a webtoon. START IT. Your art will improve at a faster rate than any course or art school

For context, In school I was the worst person in my extension art class. My first grade was a C and everyone around me was 10 times better at art. I felt like a failure and my teacher thought I had depression. I ended up dropping out of art so I was desperate to find a way to improve my art.
Then I realised webtoon creators drastically improved their art not even 6 months in and I decided to start a webtoon while I was in the middle of my exam period during school in my final year (I'm kinda dumb). This is the drawing of my OC for the very first time and one I did a year later. As you can tell my theory was so correct, and I haven't seen a single tutorial in 2 years for art, So if you guys are reading this and unsure to start a webtoon. START IT. Feel free to ask what I did to improve below if you'd like to know and here's my webtoon for those interested! https://www.webtoons.com/en/canvas/peak-voltage-/list?title_no=969477
Here's my tiktok where I'll be posting stuff about it soon! You're free to dm me there on any extra tips or help!

Would you read?? 🤔

Recently I've been noticing certain Webtoon AND anime genres are becoming more and more saturated. And as a result, some stories like isekai's are getting less attention. The genre of my story isn't really one I see from too many webtoon authors, which is cyberpunk style dystopian. The genre definitely isn't as common as some of the others I read, so I'd like to know if a story/setting you would be interested in seeing and reading or not!

Are the effects exaggerated?

I'm working on the initial panels for the prologue of my story; before, my scenes were simple and without many effects or embellishments on the clothes. While studying some manhwas that I admire, I noticed the extravagant clothing and scenes. Is that excessive?

Would it be worth continuing

I have about three episodes of this comic made, and I’m too afraid to put it out there. I’m not sure if I should come back after I grow more as an artist, or just shelf it entirely. I also worry people in my personal life we’ll see it. It just makes me feel a little off. Anyways, here’s what the comic is about ~~After being forced to move back to a familiar town for a fresh start, twin brothers Ashton and Jesse find themselves at a party. Although it’s the last place Jesse wants to be, he can’t resist Ashton’s pressure to come along.
For Ashton, sneaking out to parties, cutting class, and picking fights is nothing out of the ordinary. Unfortunately for Jesse, he always seems to get tangled up in whatever mess his brother creates.
When Jesse meets a girl at a party, it seems like one of the few good things to come from moving back home. Quiet and reserved, Jesse never expected someone like her to notice him at all. But the next day at school, she mistakes Ashton for Jesse after spotting him in her homeroom class. Ashton, being Ashton, doesn’t exactly rush to correct her. What starts as a simple misunderstanding quickly spirals into confusion and trouble that Jesse may not be able to avoid.

I spent 500+ hours in drawing to make an Indian theme webtoon :)

23f this side and from the past 2 years i have been working to create my own webtoon. While this may seem like promotion, trust me it isn’t. Recently my webtoon crossed 70,000 reads and it feels like a small personal win. I’m so happy. And though i have never earned anything from this but it makes my heart feels happy.

Synopsis - Set in an alternate 1970s India, the story follows Leela, a young woman with a large scar that has made her feel like a stranger in both her home and society. Trapped within the narrow expectations of her small town yet yearning to see the world beyond it, Leela spends her days hidden behind silence and shadows. Her life takes an unexpected turn when urged by her family to write letters for her sister Nirali, Leela hides behind borrowed words as Veer returns believing that it was Nirali.

The story might sound cliche but it isn’t. I’m writing something… a kind of story that i wanted to read and in Indian setting :) https://www.webtoons.com/en/canvas/the-heart-of-leela/list?title\\\\\\\_no=977405

Feedback on synopsis

Heya all! I'm looking into releasing my first pages in the near future, so I have made a draft for my synopsis. I have stared myself blind on it, so please let me know what you think. Any thoughts are appreciated~

>Against his own will, Vortex enrolls at the local Ascension Academy - an institution that activates young imps’ powers and teaches them how to become powerful demons. Here, he must tackle his unexplored potential, his bully of a roommate and the dangers of navigating into demonhood.

Early Panels vs Latest Panels

Saw these old panels while I was clearing out photos on my phone, and thought it would be a good opportunity to look at my improvement!!

The first image is of my character Devon from episode 3, the second is of him from episode 10!

The third image is one of the first attempts at doing a nighttime scene in a town ever, and the last image is from episode 11, which will probably come out next week!

I feel like I'm always so hard on myself and my art that I never step back and look at how far I've come (: I feel like that's an issue every artist has, so please share your panels with your character's first appearance vs their latest one if you wanna!! I'd love to see and celebrate our improvement together :D

If you wanna check out my webtoon, it's called LOSERS

Where did the Super Like Ranking Board go? How are Canvas creators surviving this drop in

Hey everyone,

I noticed recently that the Super Like ranking board completely disappeared from my WEBTOON app interface.

that ranking board was honestly one of many canvas creators discovery. It helped them pull in a huge chunk of their monthly subscribers.

Does anyone know if this is a permanent UI update or just a temporary bug?

Also, for Canvas artists who were relying on the Super Like ranks for visibility—how are you guys pivoting your promotional strategy now? What’s the best way to trigger the algorithm and get back on the "Popular by Genre" charts without it?
