Twig - Character design for my upcoming comic "The Far Shore"

one of the three main cast members! This little guy is Twig, formally known as Willow. He has gone through a design change since his old design from a few years ago didn't do a good job of showing which animal he was supposed to be representing...

I love his new design and think I did a pretty good job this time ^^

I want to share a little of my webtoon drawing process! ✏️

Hi everyone! 👋
I wanted to share a little of my drawing process for my webtoon Chilling Emblem.

This panel went through four stages:

1. Spacing / Layout
I start with very simple stick figures and rough shapes to plan the composition, panel flow, and overall pacing.

2. Rough Sketch
Then I refine the characters and expressions so I can use this sketch as a guide for the final line art.

3. Line Art
After inking, I place a grayscale layer underneath the line art. I set my coloring layers to clip/parent to it (different software uses different names for this feature), which makes it much easier to use the paint bucket tool without coloring outside the lines.

4. Coloring
Honestly… I usually stop around this stage because I don't have enough time for heavy rendering 😂 “Good enough to tell the story” is often my goal. Do you have any little tricks or workflow habits that save you time when making comics? I'd love to hear them!

You can read Chilling Emblem here if you're curious.

Here's the character art of my OC, Kai. I'm rebooting my webtoon Today, I became my teacher.

What do you think of my art?

Are the content ratings set for the entire story or it can be updated each episode?

I'm wondering if I can put these ratings according to chapter 1 and change them each episode.

Need recommendation!!

Hey everyone,

I’m completely new to Webtoon and have no idea where to start.

I’m open to pretty much any genre — romance, thriller, horror, mystery, drama, fantasy, whatever — as long as it’s really good.

What I’m mainly looking for:

fast-paced story

free to read

preferably completed so I can binge without waiting

Basically I want something that can hook me quickly and not feel too slow or lengthy.

If you have any must-read Webtoon recs for a beginner, please drop them below.....

Does this panel successfully communicate jealousy without any dialogue?

Hello everyone, my new episode is released on webtoon canvas. Let me know your thoughts. I spended 15 days on one episode, does it worth it? Here is the link

Do webtoon/manga writers actually get pressured into rushing or cutting their stories short?

I've noticed a pattern with some series — pacing suddenly speeds up, arcs get cut short, or endings feel rushed compared to how the story started. I've heard this sometimes comes from publisher deadlines or serialization pressure rather than the creator's own choice.

Is this actually common? Curious if this is something writers/artists here have experienced or seen firsthand, or if it's more fan speculation than reality.

Girl, is it worth it to continue?

I have a webtoon that I have not published for years (mainly due to the rigor of my current job).

I liked the story, wanted to rewrite it (I was in high school when I started it) and so took a hiatus. Since starting my job a few years ago, it’s been on the back burner. I want to get into my hobbies again now with some extra free time (promotions are funny like that). However, I’m prone to peer pressure and honestly feeling decision fatigue from my job.

So, strangers on the internet, should I hop back in even after all these years?

(I think if I even get like 5-10 upvotes on this that would give me the motivation to do it)

Heading home after another terrible day. Tried to capture that heavy, isolated feeling on a rainy bus ride. (Dark fantasy manga) [OC]
