Anyone else on Propafenone?
I was prescribed Propafenone by a cardiologist who didn’t believe in POTS and made me endure 2 catheter ablations in one year believing I had some mystery condition causing IST. Neither worked - obviously. They gave me this med in 2023 and I’ve been taking it twice a day since then.
I moved six months after that and was fortunate to live right near one of the best cardiologists specializing in dysautonomia. He diagnosed me with POTS and he does not necessarily agree with the med choice. However, it works for lowering HR and is cheaper than Corlanor by a huge margin.
Just curious because hardly anyone has even heard of this drug before, including many nurses and doctors I’ve worked with, and if anyone has had to taper off of it? The rebound effect sucks.
