Has anyone else found their vet will happily write a prescription for you to shop elsewhere for medication but won't give you the printed sheet?

Mine said to place the order with my chosen supplier. And let the vet practice know who the retailer is and my order number, then they will send the prescription to them.

Apparently they are no longer allowed to handout the prescriptions and have to send them directly to the retailer... is this a change is regulations or something? Or just my vets?
