So we now have Claudeforce and Headless 360 (MCP access to Salesforce), which makes it really easy to live inside of a centralized “AI Cockpit” with access to general intelligence. Why do I need to login to Salesforce anymore?

If you have a good reason for doing so, like for support and service use cases, I can use Claude Code to whip up an LWC that talks to Claude (via API). Or an LWC that lets me interact with Claude-based agents for task delegation and automation. Apex just grabs all of the relevant data in my org that I’m allowed to see (enforcing sharing rules) and passes it to Claude. Why would I ever pay for Agentforce Employee Agents or Coworker?

These are things that used to be hard to develop but I can configure Salesforce or create anything I want to in a matter of hours.

Struggling to understand how Salesforce is going to sell their AI products when I can integrate with others cheaper (e.g. not paying Salesforce’s markup on tokens).

I haven’t seen RAG come up in agent architectures in over 6 months due to Agentic Search (letting the model use Bash/grep/glob/read), which seems to work pretty well. Wondering what others are experiencing. I’m sure there’s still a time and place for RAG, exposing semantic search as a tool… but where do we draw the line? When the corpus is too large to let the model comb through it progressively?
