Hey all, just got my hands on an emporia touchsmart v188 second hand. I got it to sideload apps and I have whatsapp connected to my SD card, so lagging isn't really an issue. The issue I'm having is that the microphone does not seem to work. I've tried calling, recording, putting the thing on speaker phone, and it isn't picking up my audio input. I'm wondering if it has something to do with the fact that it has updates available (the first one being from 09-15-2021, however the wireless updater doesn't work, and I'm unable to find any zips for the updates online.

Has anyone else encountered this issue? If I could get the mic to work, this would be the perfect phone for me. The guy who sold it to me was having zero issue with it before he sent it, and he did a factory reset before he sold it, which is why I'm wondering if it has something to do with needing an update.

Hey all, first off- I'm deeply grateful for this sub. Many of the issues I've faced I have found solutions to through other posts on here, and I love how supportive the community is.

Anyways, I made a post several months ago about leaks my baby was having, and the tips people gave legit helped fix the problem. Now I have a new issue. last month, when my LO turned 5 months, she began having atopic dermatitis and needed to get two separate lotions put on her at morning and at night to fix the rashes she was having. The only area where rashes didn't clear up were her diaper area. We swapped out cloth diapers for disposables so that we could put lotion on her, and our thinking was that once the rash cleared, we would put her back in cloth. However, as soon as she cleared up and we put her back on cloth diapers, the rash came back. The doc told us it probably wasn't atopic dermatitis causing it, so we looked up solutions. We found info that if the diapers were too loose, then it would rub against the baby's skin and cause a rash. With that info, we began making her diapers tighter (as tight as we could make it while still being able to stack two fingers in both sides and in the center). The rash cleared up, but now we have another issue- BLOWOUTS.

She's six months old by the way, and over these past 3 days, I've had to put her in a new outfit at least 2 or 3 times before the day ends and need to scrub poop off a shirt or pants. Just before we washed all her clothes today, we had at least 6 outfits that had poop rubbed off them, which never happened before. I feel like it's because the diaper is tighter and the poop has nowhere to run but up and out, or out of the leg holes. I suppose I could try unsnapping the last rise snaps (I hadn't been using the rise snaps when she was five months), but I think the last time I forgot to use them last week, she got some red marks. I don't know if anyone else has had this particular issue before, but I'd love some advice if anyone has any.

TL;DR: 6 mo LO is having blowouts, probably because her diaper is on tight. However, if we loosen the diaper, she starts getting bad rashes... Not sure on a solution if there is one.
