I had to take a second to just stare at this route today and try and not let my eye twitch. Like my brain could not compute why this route was structured like this.... Like I would understand if it was delivering one side of the road and then the other one later IF it wasnt a dead end road.... like I delivered to 3 houses down here and just happened to notice one of the black dots so I go to this and see this bullcrap. Like why?! Why send me down for 3 houses, send me to a different part of this neighborhood for 30ish stops to just bring me back down the dead-end road 🤣

So my 2nd day of training had me and my trainer out in the backwoods of Florida. Im talking roads that were basically made by people driving in grass so much it eventually made a path... Also, straight sand roads as well. Anyways, bout halfway through our van decides it doesn't want to disengage the emergency break anymore. So they had to send us a different van. Trainer managed to get to van closer to civilization so they could at least find us easier. Unfortunately, by the time we did get somewhere better the breaks were smoking. She got scared they were on fire, and poured a bottle of water on it 😂 We ended up having to wait there for 2 and a half hours for another van. We bonded a lot, so that's the bright side. I had the coolest trainer. (She's been checking up on me these past 3 days I've been by myself.)

Anyways, we get the new van but we definitely didnt have enough time to finish and make it the half hour drive back to station before our strict 10pm clock out. So they send two different people for rescue. (Spoiler alert: We all came back with packages 😅). And we just barely made it back to station with just 2 minutes to spare.

And on top of it all? The tow truck managed to get me a speeding violation. 🤣 Dispatch let us know when we got back. Obviously they disputed it. It was definitely a much needed laughter after a stressful 2nd day.

First day by myself and I was back out there and delivered to the same place it happened. Took a picture and sent it to my trainer and joked I was having war flashbacks 😂. She made sure I made it out of course. It'll probably stick with me for awhile.
