Family Photographer

So I shot a wedding yesterday and everything was normal until before the ceremony began. I noticed one of guests had a legit mirrorless camera with a flash. During the ceremony she was reasonable and just stood in the back out of my way taking shots. Ok fine. After the ceremony I asked someone “Where did everyone go?” This “guest” took the families outside and just completely took over. Setting up the shots, taking photos first, and letting me (sometimes) take my shots after. It went on this way for most of the day. Sometimes she would sit down and act like a regular guest. It was clear that she shoots weddings and generally knew what she was doing. I was never told about her in advance in any way, shape or form. I did get annoyed at times and someone told me that was obvious from my body language. I was happy that I controlled myself enough not to say anything. I just rolled with it but what the hell.

Widener University

Hi Everyone

Long time adjunct here. Sorry for the very specific question here. Does anyone know what Widener University pays adjuncts per class or what the highest paying schools are in the South Jersey/Philadelphia area are? I do know that Rowan pays quite well - $6,900 for a three credit class.

White Balance

I have been shooting fairly seriously for about two years now. I have been shooting events, portraits and a few weddings. Still taking pretty low pay which is fair.My use of flash and understanding of lighting have improved a lot though the one thing I’m struggling with still is white balance. I have a Canon r5 and I have been shooting Auto White Balance (AWB) but not getting the results I want. So how do you all use custom white balance? I’ve watched some videos but I really don’t know where to begin.

Thanks

Editor

Hello

Just wondering if anyone knows the best way to hire an editor. As a photographer I am not a fan of doing my own editing for a bunch of reasons. I’m hoping to keep to budget to $50 to $75 for portraits/small events and $100 to $150 for weddings. I looked on Fiver a little but just wondering what the best approach is.

Thanks
