They bruise yellow and the biggest one had a cap of 8 inches across.
Found several clumps growing on a dead elm while collecting chanterelles. Fairly certain it is golden oyster, upstate NY USA. is it worth eating even though it seems to be past prime ripeness?
TIA!
Are these definitely chanterelles?
After a warm rainy day we came upon this lovely fruit happily enjoying the environment. South East Michigan
Hi all, I’m just getting into mushroom identification and found this cool mushroom and was hoping I’m on the right track identifying it. I’d love to hear your expert confirmation! Sorry I didn’t think to bruise it, which I now understand is an important identifying characteristic, especially for boletes!
Northern Illinois. Starting to get a few of these showing up. Small, grey, kind of translucent. My dog like to randomly eat grass when she's outside, and while I don't think she's noticed these yet, I'd like to know if I should worry that she might.
I found both of these in a field with horses in USA SW Florida
Weston, Canberra, ACT ,Australia. In back garden amongst various trees including apple.
I found these growing under shade surrounded by cottonwoods. It’s just rained. The gills, button, and stem looks like chanterelles. A slight nutty or mildly fruity smell but this isn’t my forte.
Both inaturalist and my Mushroom ID app identify them as chanterelles, but they’re mixed on which variety.
I found what I believe to be Chanterelles, but as this is my first time finding them I would like confirmation. Found them growing in a lawn beneath hardwoods in Northern New Jersey, United States of America. They have a noticeable orange juice smell. I believe these are maybe a day or so past prime but would appreciate any tips.
In South Florida, there were about 5 or 6 of these spread out through a 50sf area.
Found growing on a tree stump in a forest in Ontario, Canada. Is it chicken of the woods? Thanks!
I saw the post from Northern Illinois that I believe is the exact same. Invasive? Edible?
Found this on the weekend. Sorry, I didn't think to take photos of the gills etc at the time. It was only just now that I realised I could ask reddit what this was.
Found in my front yard in Denver, Colorado. I’ve never seen any mushrooms in my yard before this. First time posting so let me know if I can provide better info
Found in southwest Virginia. What is it?
