How does account validation for bans work?
I don’t understand how accounts are checked in order to issue bans. These checks are obviously not done by humans, which means the process is automated. What are the actual triggers for receiving a ban?
How is it possible to ban two accounts that have a combined total of 7,000 matches, especially when those accounts often play in the same lobby, and then happen to be launched a couple of times from the same hardware at different times? What if these two people go to PC gaming clubs, play from home, or use different devices? Or if they are siblings who all play from the same computer? Or friends sharing an apartment?
Then what is the purpose of the verification system? What is the purpose of linking Steam and FACEIT with a strict OneToOne requirement?
At the same time, in almost every game you encounter brand-new accounts with unbelievable stats, Steam level 1, and less than 300 hours in CS2. They continue playing without issues, often without even completing verification. I personally found a guy who had 5 Steam accounts and clearly multiple FACEIT accounts, yet he continues playing without any problems.
How ethical is it to rely entirely on AI agents for these checks, when they do not always understand context or semantics correctly?
Meanwhile, support keeps everything confidential, takes more than a week to respond, and provides no clarification whatsoever.
Could you please explain how this works at all?
