Adjustable bases for Latex Mattress?

I am about to get a full latex King mattress and I'm looking for decent adjustable bases and/or things to look out for. For example, I have heard that you shouldn't get an adjustable base unless it has solid wood decking?

I found a deal on two premier Nectar twin XL adjustable bases but it seems like the decking is solid steel or something? I'm having a hard time finding any solid information on it.

Does anyone have any information on this adjustable base and/or others?

Thanks in advance!

First time DIY all latex, need some advice.

Hello community! Just learned about DIY mattresses and it seems amazing, but it is quite in depth so I'm hoping to get some help from the experts!

I am 5'8 and 160lbs, probably 50/50 back/side sleeper

Partner is 5'0 130lbs 70% back, 25% stomach, 5% side

Looking to build a King bed

We tested some beds from a company called Pranasleep that used Talalay and it was amazing, it was also almost $4k minimum. I was thinking 3" Talalay 14-19 ILD, 3" Talalay or Dunlop 28 ILD, and 3" Dunlop 34 ILD. This is all guesswork because I don't actually know the feeling of these ILDs but we are smaller people so I figured lower ILD?

also, people are saying you can make these mattresses so cheap but when I go to build one on Latex Mattress Factory it's nearly $1700 or so, which I'm fine paying that price for a mattress that should last a long time and is piecemeal repairable, but it seems like some people are building these way cheaper so I wonder if I'm missing something.

Any help is appreciated!

Black mold? Something else?

We are relatively new to this house (about 1 year) and my girlfriend decided to repaint a room. Decided half way through to remove the baseboards and found this. Lots of black specks and then a fuzzy white bit. Does anyone know what I'm looking at and what I need to do?

It is a partially below ground bedroom, the house doesn't have AC and it's upstate NY so it does get hot and humid. No known leaks in that area and it's not adjacent to a bathroom or below one or anything like that.

Help please.
