Life after OSCP, was it worth it?

If you could reply with the year you passed and how it impacted your career.

My manager gave me the greenlight for OSCP training, but I think its a waste of 400hrs of studying. Is the juice worth the squeeze?

My background, I have close 3 YoE/ BS/MS in Cyber make a little over 100K, BUT want to make the jump to 140K+ and Im not sure if OSCP is apart of that picture. I think DevOps is the path forward to 140K+, but the OSCP has been put in front of me.

How to Troubleshoot Low Readings

Sensor giving crazy lows, these are inaccurate. Any way to fix? I noticed considerably lower readings throughout the week, but nothing out of range, but recently I’ve been getting critically low readings that just aren’t true and don’t align with my finger pricks.

Should I just rip the sensor out? Calibration not working

Life After CCNP? Was Getting the CCNP Worth It?

So mainly I want to know three things:
- What year did you get your CCNP
- How long did it take you to get your CCNP
- How did CCNP effect your career - promotions, salary jumps, job prospects, etc.

I'm thinking about getting the CCNP, BUT I honestly Im not sure the juice is worth the squeeze in general in 2026.

(I feel like this is a common question, but did not see it posted when I searched the monthly top post)

Is a clearance worth a demotion?

SAME SALARY, but a regression in job duties. Admin to Helpdesk

Idk if people are overstating the value of a clearance, but all things considered - same salary - would it be smart to take a demotion from net security engineer (Palo Admin) to helpdesk in the name of getting a Secret or TS clearance?

I've had clearance opportunities before, but this is the first time a TS has been dangled in front of me. Is this possibly worth a regression in job duties, all things considered?

Will my clearance get denied because I put my two weeks notice in late?

So, I started at the new company for three days before putting my two weeks' notice at my old company. AI (Gemini) said this would result in my clearance getting denied since I double dipped for three days is this true?

Also did you all list EVERY job you ever worked even if it was just for 2 weeks? I obviously have no reference for a 2 week stint.

CGM Discovery - Nuts are a Game Changer

Alright so I recently started using CGM and WOAH I had no idea nuts had such a GREAT effect on my numbers. My go to are chocolate covered almonds/walnuts and sweet and spicy peanuts from Planters

My general rule of thumb is less than 5G of Sugar per serving, so the chocolate coating is usually pretty thin and its more Dark Chocolate NOT Milk Chocolate. Dark Chocolate Cocoa Almonds from Target are a GREAT option and the No Sugar Added Chocolate Almonds from Sprouts are a great option too.

The only negative is they're calorie dense lol Thats said nuts for a snack or nuts before maybe not the most optimal meal are working wonders for me.

*I always knew nuts were Type 2 friendly if not much sugar, but seeing the data in real time is like WOW. I had no idea it had such a major impact on stable sugars. Any other sleeper foods Im missing out on?

Why are doctors slow to prescribe CGMs?

Is it because they cost a decent bit?

Ive been diabetic the last decade+ and I finally got on a CGM and this shit is a game changer. Getting feedback/data on what I eat and being able to see my numbers on the go whenever I open an app on my phone is amazing.

It’s kind of gamified the whole thing for me making sure I stay in range and avoid spikes, but yeh I’m not sure why this wouldn’t be a mandatory treatment. Granted my numbers have always been pretty decent minus a rough patch on during covid, but idk… it kind of rubs me the wrong way it took so long to get one and I go to a freaking specialist/endocrinologist.
