Would a therapist continue to see a client they don't like?
I know Therapists are trained to approach clients with a curious, non-judgemental attitude, maintain a positive regard, and keep their own feelings in check. I also know Therapists are human, imperfect, and that they know that as well. Do Therapists ever find it difficult to genuinely maintain a positive, non-judgemental view of their client?
If so, do they just refer them out, or do they tend to hide it and continue on?
As a Therapist yourself, would you continue sessions if you thought that your own Therapist was struggling with this behind the scenes?
