Granuloma? Lesion?
I had this same whitish gray swelling on the bottom in the same place or directly nearby three years ago. I had a biopsy and it came back benign. Surgeon told me he could remove it or I could wait for it to go down on its own. He did warn that it might come back. I waited and a few weeks later, it went away.
Fast forward to two weeks ago. I had my usual scan for my invisalign aligners and I did have discomfort during it. This swelling popped up shortly after. I went to a new dentist today and he doesn't know what it is. He referred me to an oral surgeon the same as my former dentist did three yrs ago. I suffer from serious anxiety and this has triggered it in a major way. Any ideas? I do grind a lot and I was poking that area quite a bit with the sharp end of a floss stick bc I had food stuck between my teeth.
I had an x-ray and cleaning two months ago and was told my oral healrh was good. My dentist also did an x-ray today that came back okay.
I forgot to add that I've never smoked, don't drink (only once in awhile for special occasions), seen an oral surgeon two years ago for a custom mouth guard and he did a screening.
