It's all about looks

Sharing my experience here.

Male, registered on matrimony apps a few months ago, stayed active for around three months, then deleted account.

During that time, I received around 15 requests, mostly from parent managed profiles. On my side, I sent 50+ requests (probably more, I don't remember), the profiles I sent request to ranged from women with no income to high income. out of those, I got around 7-8 matches. In all cases, I was the one who initiated the conversation, 4 never replied at all, and the remaining ones stopped responding after 3–5 messages.

I’ve always known I’m not conventionally attractive, maybe a 5/10 face wise, have above average height, I work out regularly, have decent muscle, never been fat, have good metabolism. I have good income (1Cr+). So at this point, it is evident that facial attractiveness matters more than anything else. I’m not trying to rant here, even if it comes across that way, but I’ve worked on improving what I could. I’ve read a lot of discussions on this subreddit where people say low income is the biggest rejection factor in arranged marriage, also according to the “society" as well. Boy, I beg to differ, nobody wants to be with below average. That’s just the reality.

I went into the AM process with very low expectations, No partner filters, besides from basics such as age and all. but it seems even those were too high.

So guys, don’t be ugly. cheers.
