Is it safe to take admission after the nmc rule?
Anyone joining Privolzhsky Research Medical University this year or seniors who can tell genuine pros nd cons for this uni
Hey everyone! I’m planning to study medicine in Russia and I’m currently trying to shortlist universities.
I’d really appreciate some advice from Russian locals, current students, or seniors/graduates who actually know these universities and cities.
My main priorities are:
Good reputation + decent clinical exposure
Good option if I want to pursue PLAB/UK pathway later +FMGE/NExT
City should be reasonably big/interesting — I don’t want to be stuck in a super boring place 😭
general student life
Overall living experience and opportunities outside the university
Total budget is around ₹35–40 lakh
I’m currently looking at universities like Privolzhsky Research Medical University and Volgograd State Medical University, but I’m open to other options too.
If you’re studying there or you’re from Russia and know these places well, I’d really appreciate an honest comparison — especially things that aren’t obvious from university websites.
Which universities would you personally shortlist and why? And are there any that you’d avoid?
Thanks! 🙏
