As premeds, what was the harshest thing someone has said to you?

Could be anybody like family, friends, other premed students, doctor, mentor, professor, etc.

Share your stories, what immediately happened after, and how you moved forward and if it still sticks with you to this day

Be honest: why are premeds hated so much in research labs? I’ve seen a lot of grad students, postdocs, and lab staff talk negatively about premeds and I’m curious where that comes from.

Is it:

lack of commitment?

résumé padding?

ego?

leaving after getting hours/posters?

not actually caring about science?

Oh here is a new one I just found out, Premeds also sabotagging other's experiments out of spite.

I'm just curious because my last PI hated accepting Premeds themselves and really wanted Pre-phds.

But just give me your thoughts. I'm genuinely curious

What's the most "stereotypical" premed thing y'all have experienced personally?

Could be:

Anything like Rudeness, crazy obsession, MCAT ego, insane competitiveness, etc.

And another, what are awesome hobbies to just get distracted from? I'm thinking soccer and calisthenics, but I always think sports
