Need help picking parts for a PC but I’ve got basically no PC knowledge

Hi everyone, my friend helped me build my PC 5 or 6 years ago and I think it’s finally time I upgraded. From my research (a google search) it looks like it’s better if i just get a whole new setup, maybe keep my ssd or something. My budget is around 2k, I play a LOT of video games so I need something good enough to keep me set for basically any game. I know people who can help me put it together for a build, they just don’t know what to suggest. I also know that graphics cards are super expensive so I’m not sure if I should just go for a (new/used) prebuilt with my budget. Thank you.

Edit: RN I have a 1660 Ti 6gb, a Ryzen 5 2600 cpu, and I think 16 gb of ram.
