got a 1230 on may sat

I got a 520 in English and a 710 in Math. Math is decent — I know I can improve it more — but English is where I’m really struggling.

The biggest issue is the Reading section. During the test, especially with the timer running, my mind just blanks out midway through passages. I’ve watched almost every SAT strategy video out there, but in the actual exam, I panic and end up choosing answers based on gut feeling instead of proper logic.

For the Standard English Conventions questions, I actually know the grammar concepts. The problem is speed and accuracy under pressure. I need more time than the test allows, and that causes me to second-guess myself or rush.

I know a 520 isn’t where I want to be, and honestly it’s frustrating because I feel like I understand the material better than my score reflects. August is my last SAT attempt, so I really want to figure out how to improve my English score before then. If someone could genuinely help me improve, it would honestly mean a lot.
