Problems with Luxeve glass getting onto pool deck and in pool

I was gifted a Luxeve for father's day a few years ago and the cover only covers the fire pit, not the ring of glass that surrounds the firebox.

When the yard crew comes to clean up pieces of jagged blue glass invariably get blown out. I talked to support at Breeo and they suggested using the x30 cover but the Luxeve outer circumference is 36" while the x30 lid is only 34.5".

I was thinking maybe I could use a clear epoxy resin - pour it into the outer ring and suspend the glass in a matrix but that would likely invalidate the warranty and I'm not sure if there's a high-heat version resin. I could also just empty out the ring and keep it clear.

Might be I could have a top manufactured for it at a local welding shop - I think S&S fire pits would do it for me but it seems crazy that I'm the only one with this issue.

Thoughts?

Looking for advice on my basic pool plan. Notes:

  • The house is 2 stories and faces out to the back at 60 degrees to the NE
  • Too short for laps
  • Want it deep enough to allow for cannonballs and treading water
  • Want enough standing area.
  • Bench runs along pool deck side.
  • Putting lights facing away from house and pool deck
  • Separate Caldera hot tub in another part of the yard
  • Green screen trees will be at the left and rear right up to the pool
  • Pool deck will be poured concrete slab with concrete tiles on top
  • Don't want a sun shelf - we can lay out on the deck or float.
  • Planning on getting the in-floor cleaner upgrade
  • Was thinking about going dark blue on color of pebblesheen
  • I've included the quote, renderings, site plan, and a planting and hardscape plan
