I think a large aspect of it is how socially normative humans are, and how restrictive that can feel.

When trying to do something outside of those boundaries like “Let’s pull up to the theater when the credits are rolling/Lets pull up to the party and park right next to the cops,” it’s immediately looked down upon: “now you’re the first on their list with the cuffs.”

With the lines about having kids and “that baby better get a job, his life’s already out of control.” I believe it’s about how humans reinforce social norms. And sometimes we don’t even realize why or how that affects the people it’s directed towards.

Lastly the line “The baby only likes the dog, the dog is only getting old” is about finding comfort in something not human because the dog is not expecting anything from you or scrutinizing you like humans do. Except, unfortunately the dog probably will die earlier than you. And also, this dog is paralleled with the K-9 at the end of the video. Showing how even in the end, dogs are used to reinforce human behavior and laws.

This was just a fun idea I thought of! Any another references you guys can think of? Especially during the FMTY or Voice Memos eras? (I didn’t add any from those)
