I have a 2005 Jeep Liberty 3.7L, 135k miles. After a decently long couple of trips, first being around 40 minutes and the second being around 30 minutes. It drove fine without any noises the whole time until I went to back into my driveway, as I was backing up the oil pressure light came on.

It now comes on consistently even after starting it back up. It comes on a few seconds after. I checked the oil level and it’s in the center of the safe zone, and looks clean. Did notice the oil filter seemed dirty and maybe a bit of wetness on the frame but couldn’t see much.

I am waiting about another 30 minutes to let it cool and then I will see if the light is remaining on. Is there anything I should check first or any common issues with this?

Ive only had it happen once so far but my instrument cluster lights went off, then came back on and the check engine light, battery, etc all came on as if you turned the key on, only for a brief second.

I was reversing, stopped then right as I put it in park it seemed to have happened. I didn’t notice if the headlights dimmed so I’m thinking they stayed on just fine. The engine stayed idling just fine and I didn’t notice any problems there.

I do have an aftermarket head unit and sub however it was turned down to almost 0 when it happened. Just wanting to know if this was maybe a minor hiccup or something more serious
